Yeah, that ways you lot don't take the font installed. It is MPlantin. It tin be found in a zip of fonts on the same download page equally the templates. Unfortunately, because Sourceforge is having problems right now, the page is down. Just when it comes back, you'll find information technology in that location.

I downloaded the fonts parcel, but I don't know where to install it. It comes in a zip file, simply I don't know where the folders go. Any help?

EDIT: I figured out how to install fonts onto my machine, simply I don't know how to modify the font from this arial matter it has defaulted to to the new Beleren font. Where do y'all make that modify in mse?

I've updated the program to include the most recent templates, like the Expedition and Devoid styles from BfZ. However, the DFC Sparkers template doesn't show up on the styles list. I updated MSE through the built-in update check rather than the download link every bit the downlod fails to find the programme for some reason.

Hey all, this program is the bees knees. However, I am having some problem installing some new templates and/or updates. I have version ii.0.0 and keep getting this message:

Can not create file 'filename', continue installation?

After whatever does go installed installs, I and so get this message:

can't open file 'C:\Plan Files (x86)\Magic Set Editor ii/information/filename' (mistake v: access is denied.)

Solved the trouble. Windows 8 doesn't really have users have administrative control even if your account is made equally an administrator. I know, right? Greetings. Allow me explain my problem.

I need some help here trying to solve a problem that'due south been plaguing me and I'm non sure how to fix. Thing is when I employ images in my cards they lose quality Earlier I even export them. First I piece of work these images in Paintshop Pro to a workable size, good quality, salvage them equally PNG as I know they have adept quality. Then when I select the paradigm to put on the card frame, the image loses quality and information technology looks crappy.

To illustrate more conspicuously:

This is one pic I had trouble with. I worked with it in Paintshop pro and reached to this base here. Every bit yous tin meet it has decent quality.

Sorry if it's been asked before, i got the template for the zendikar total fine art lands but the name isn't the correct font, and then I went to modify it in the Style document to what it'southward supposed to be, but it nevertheless remains the incorrect one. Am I missing something?

I have been able to solve the font issue with the rules text and flavor text with MPlantin, only apparently there'south a unlike font that's used for the Card Name and the Card Types that I can't detect. Anyone able to tell me what font too use for those would exist greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone I've used MSE for a few years, and I all all of a sudden got this bug where every fourth dimension I blazon a alphabetic character, backside it is CARDNAME. Obviously, this makes information technology unusable. DOes anyone have any fixes? Or should I but reinstall?

I must say I enjoy making custom cards using your program. Recent cards such as the werewolf double faced cards have a moon symbol at the acme reflecting the color cherry-red, green or both and on the middle line. The pinnacle word border also incorporates the moon for these cards.

Ex. Krallenhorde howler, dark-green moon in middle with crescent at superlative, Ravager of the fells (has eldrazi type symbol instead of Moon at peak and mixed r/g total moon symbol at middle bar. Terror of Kruin pass has the ruby moon at middle.

MSE has a tombstone for the top but no moon or any of the special symbols like the eldrazi horrors.

And so here's the questions,
1) Will in that location be any updates to include the werewolf dfc special give-and-take borders with the moon (and other special) symbols at peak and middle?

ii) I've made some special characters that fit within sure sets such every bit RTR, DTK/KTK, I'd like to add and then to those sets but I haven't seen where to dl the gear up symbols anywhere. I just have the option to make a fix symbol.

Whatever answers are helpful give thanks you lot!

So I went back and spent a few days over the holidays trying to get MSE working on Mac/Linux (once more).

Linux was piece of cake to get working: a piffling build-system cleanup, some modest fixes for at present-illegal implicit conversions to booleans, and everything seems to piece of work nicely.

Then I tried OS X. Clang spits out a few hundred more compile errors than gcc did, but those are fixable; information technology was only after that that I found out how bad wxWidgets' support for OS X really is -- I mean, most basic blitting modes aren't fifty-fifty supported! Duct-taping over those (who needs nice-looking symbols anyways?) lets it run and not crash immediately, but even then it'due south a mess: region sizes are manner off, scrolling bill of fare notes generates exceptions, trying to load a set crashes the programme...

[edit] After further investigation, I'1000 impaired and near of the errors are related to the version of wxWidgets: MSE (and my linux box) both use 2.8, while the Mac versions I have plant/built are 3.0. And it's plainly near-incommunicable to build 2.8 on recent version of Os X. So that'due south no help (only is good to know).

In short, between the MSE code being pretty janky and wxWidgets being terrible on Mac OS, you are probably not ever going to get a build of MSE for Mac.

Your options for Mac support are:
- use a unlike Os
- employ Vino to run the Windows version on Mac
- use Artifice (it'due south pretty OK)
- use one of the many web-based card-making tools (most are awful)

My approximate (made without any directly applicable feel, so take with salt) is that 16.04 repos have wxWidgets version three.0 or higher, while 14.04 had 2.eight. maybe there'southward a way to tell apt you want the sometime version?
